![]() ![]() Experienced characters will often be something like "level 112 warrior/35 ninja/55 villain" or "200 journeyman/55 wizard/118 sorcerer/42 paladin", depending on what you want that character to achieve.Ĭombat is entirely automatic and realtime. The customisation lies in the fact that the game is heavily based around multiclassing and that levels are easy to come by. The game has many classes and races, several of them deviating from the standard rogue/wizard/warrior formula or being hybrids, each with their own spellbooks. It is usually recommended to start playing the game with a strong but stupid giant or ogre and use him to find stat raising tomes and potions you can then use to give your 2nd "main" character a fighting chance right out of the box. All your characters exist in the same game world, buy from the same shop and share the same level of exploration of the dungeon, meaning that your first character is the hardest to play and build while subsequent characters can benefit from widely explored dungeons and a city shop that is stocked with the great gear your other characters sold it. ![]() It differs in that the dungeons are not randomly generated and that it is a kind of persistant world. It's a roguelike version of Diablo, sort of - delve into dungeon, kill monsters, gain level, return to city to train, return to dungeon, kill more monsters, delve deeper, get better gear etc. I'm a long time fan of Mordor and Demise. ![]()
